Days pass in dazed confusion
Living life through television set
Walking the same streets every day
Seeing the same old people every day
Staring straight ahead yet through vacant eyes
Glazed, trudging through this monotonous existence
Passivity creates stale atmosphere
Spreads and filters through surroundings
Trickles down to beloved young ones
Infiltrates this whole nation, culture
Wake up!
Get off that couch! (literally)

Singing at the top of your lungs (in shower is ok!)
Learning a different language
Blowing on your trumpet
Riding a bike around town
Strumming a guitar
Walking barefoot on sandy beach
